The resurrection of those who are in Christ.

We have the propensity to associate things we read to our human experience including abstract ideas. We have never seen a spirit therefore we would imagine and picture a spirit to have a shape or size of a human anatomy. In the dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus, we would be like Nicodemus saying “How can thee things be?” Jesus answered “I have told you about things here on earth… and you do not believe me. So how will you…believe me if I tell you about things of heaven.”. and how can you and I ever know of the things we in our physical world never seen or experience. But, the Scripture always give us a clue in God’s permissible revelations according to our faith.

Here is my opinion based on my understanding of the Scripture.

New heaven and new earth with the presence of God is “temple space”.

1.  Matthew 5 : ⁴⁸ Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Everything will be perfect).
2. 1 Cor 15:²⁰ But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (We would be like the resurrected Jesus having a glorified body, no longer limited by physical laws.)
3. The criteria of priesthood in O.T. which pictures the new heaven and earth will be a reality there. We all will be priest, in the prime of our life. How you would picture how Adam looked when he was one day old – was I believe the same as how glorified Jesus looked that his disciples etc. did not recognize him at once. So will we be. But we will be known not through physical appearance but by God’s divine knowledge given to us. (1Cor 13:12)
4. Remember the miracle of turning water into wine? Jesus short circuited the process of wine making going thru the vine manufacturing sugar, fermentation, aging resulting into wine. In the same way God can short circuit our aging whether from conception to adult or reversing from being old to become young. Regenerating what ever infirmities we may have and when we are resurrected. We will all be perfect according to the divine power of God.
5. Romans 8 :  ¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
